So you got carried away and now it's a bit late to get dinner at most restaurants....you're worried you will need to compromise on the quality of the meal that you'd hoped to have...there need not be a compromise if you head straight to L'Express in the Plateau neighborhood.
The food is superb and the service is outstanding,

with very professional waiters from culinary schools. Reservations are recommended but Maître D' Jacques-Yves will accomodate you if it's at all possible. On my last visit there I sat at the bar and had a mouth watering salad and the out-of-this-world daily special cod brandade!
The atmosphere at the bar is excellent, very french bistro with the bartenders engaging in casual conversation with the guests that linger and linger........
